Embracing the Earth
Nature Camps for Adults and Families
A Weekend of Retreat and Discovery for Adults
Stay tuned for Spring 2021!
We welcome folks from all walks of life looking for a purposeful, inspiring, educational vacation.
After years of hosting nature camps for kids and hearing many parents and community members remark they would love to attend our programs, we are offering a weekend of nature camp for adults!
Join us for an immersive, creative & educational experience at Wind Dance Farm and Earth Education Center. Our home base will be the educational center, an off-grid, timber framed construction surrounded by a small farm and forest in Berkeley Springs, WV. Our weekend retreat will feature field studies, nature craft, wilderness skills and guided time in the garden . You can choose to participate in the activities that serve your experience.
We will gather at 3 pm on Friday and close at 3 pm on Sunday.
"Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home: that wilderness is a necessity." _John Muir
A daily schedule will allow you to choose activities to participate in. We will share meals, fireside chatting, music and quiet reflective time together.
Hammocks and chairs will be waiting on the creeks edge if you are called to relax and listen to the earth.

Sessions are typically one or two hours in duration with most of the time spent outdoors or in hands-on activities. Structure is informal, with questions and input from other instructors and attendees encouraged. As always, at Wind Dance we recognize the natural world is always presenting unexpected gifts and our goal is to tune in and listen for opportunities to receive Earth's offerings ~ rain and sun, bird song and frog calls, soft moss and vibrant blossoms, subtle scents and the taste of food harvested fresh from the earth ~
"Drinking the water, I thought how earth and sky are generous with their gifts, and how good it is to receive them. Most of us are taught , somehow, about giving and accepting human gifts, but not about opening ourselves and our bodies to welcome the sun, the land, the visions of sky and dreaming, not about standing in the rain ecstatic with what is offered." ~Linda Hogan
This is a wonderful opportunity for:
Life-long learners, Educators and teachers looking for new skills or inspiration, Moms and Dads, College students, Nature Lovers ~ Anyone who would enjoy a few days to re-charge, tune in, change perspective, enjoy good company, share delicious meals and practice new skills.
Friday night is a potluck meal, so please bring a dish to share. All other meals will be served. Community cooking is offered and you can sign up to help prepare a meal (or more if you enjoy cooking with others!) Many hands make light work.
Details of what to pack will be sent. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about attending. We can be reached at 304-258-0558 or
